Jamie Redknapp delivers Liverpool title verdict as Arsenal lose to West Ham

Jamie Redknapp admits he’s not watching Arsenal this season as he’s made an admission on the title challenge of Liverpool.

He believes that the Reds might not stay unbeaten until the end of the campaign but now find themselves in a very good position after West Ham beat the Gunners at home on Saturday.

Should Arne Slot’s side beat Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, they will be 11 points clear at the top of the Premier League table.

Premier League title still not decided – Jamie Redknapp

While Redknapp admits that the Reds find themselves in the driver’s seat to win the Premier League, he wants them to stay calm and take advantage of Arsenal dropping points.

He told Sky Sports: “They’re certainly missing Bukayo Saka but I’m not enjoying watching them as much as I have in previous years. They’ve been a tough watch. I’ve never really seen that fluidity, that movement, that excitement about their play.

“I think they’ve got to stay calm. Get their rhythm. Forget Liverpool right now. They’ve got to go to Anfield as well.

“There’s no way Liverpool are going to stay unbeaten from now on. This is just the case for Liverpool now. It’s a huge opportunity. Can they take it? Right now, Liverpool are in an incredible position and they need to make sure they stay calm.”

Liverpool cannot afford to take their foot off the gas

The Reds cannot afford to let Arsenal’s scintillating form or their surprising loss to West Ham derail their focus as they prepare for a pivotal clash against Manchester City.

Slot’s men sit atop the Premier League table, and with City struggling, this is a golden opportunity to strike a decisive blow.

Arsenal’s title challenge, while impressive, is irrelevant to this moment.

The Reds’ eight-point lead over the Gunners could shrink or grow, but it’s the chance to go 11 points clear at the top that demands their full attention.

Treating the Etihad showdown like a cup final is essential.

City, despite their slump, remain dangerous and a wounded giant can still bite.

It may be argued that Slot’s side are favourites but complacency could undo that edge.

By channelling their energy into exploiting City’s vulnerabilities, poor defending and depleted midfield, rather than glancing sideways at Arsenal, Liverpool can cement their status as title favourites.

This is about seizing control of the race and not reacting to others.

A statement win could break City’s spirit and propel the Reds toward glory.
