Liverpool v Tottenham: Gabby Agbonlahor makes bold prediction live on talkSPORT
Gabby Agbonlahor has wished Tottenham “good luck” ahead of their Carabao Cup semi-final tie against Liverpool as he predicted a resounding victory for the Reds.
Arne Slot’s men are going into the game 1-0 down on aggregate after Spurs managed to win the first leg of the semi-final.
Speaking live on talkSPORT (6 February, 06:25am), Agbonlahor and Alan Brazil shared their thoughts on the upcoming clash between the two Premier League sides, with the former claiming Liverpool will be comfortable victors at Anfield.
“Good luck guys, good luck, just good luck tonight Spurs, that’s going to be some atmosphere,” he said.
“That’s just going to be attack versus defence.”
Brazil then said: “I think Tottenham must score first.”
Agbonlahor then replied with: “They have to, I’m going for a three or four-nil Liverpool win, I really am.
“I feel like they’re just going to throw absolutely everything at them.”
Liverpool need to come out all guns blazing against Tottenham
Last time out, Liverpool fell to a surprise defeat against Ange Postecoglou’s men after they were beaten 1-0.
However, the second leg of the tie will be held at Anfield and when Liverpool are playing at home, it feels like they’re a different beast.
Indeed, there have been a couple of banana skin moments here and there with defeats against Nottingham Forest and PSV the main ones coming to mind.
But, seen as though advancement to the Carabao Cup final is on the line, it feels like the Reds will come out to put on a show and advance into the next stage of the tournament.

The following game after their clash against Tottenham on Thursday is a fourth-round FA Cup clash against Plymouth Argyle so that feels as if it’s the more likely option for Slot to rest some of his first-team players.
Although the Carabao Cup won’t be at the top of the Reds’ priority list, Slot adding the first trophy to his Liverpool cabinet with the first one that has been made available to him would be an impressive feat, to say the least.
