
Dominik Szoboszlai stuns, Gakpo 9/10 – Liverpool player ratings v Tottenham
Liverpool beat Tottenham 4-0 at Anfield to progress to the final of the EFL Cup on Thursday.
The Reds turned around a 1-0 deficit on Merseyside to have the chance to defend the trophy that they won last season on 16 March at Wembley.
Goals from Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szobozlai and Virgil van Dijk cancelled out Lucas Bergvall’s strike from the clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 8 January.

Caoimhin Kelleher – 6
Spurs failed to have a shot on target, so the Irishman did not have a save to make but he made three recoveries and one high claim.
Conor Bradley – 8
The 21-year-old created two chances and completed the most dribbles in the contest with three out of four while winning seven of nine ground duels for a 78 per cent success rate.
Ibrahima Konate – 7
Completed the most passes in the clash with 72 and won four of five aerial duels that he contested for an 80 per cent success rate.
Virgil van Dijk – 8 (off for Quansah, 87)

Scored the fourth goal to put the game under wraps and completed 93 per cent of his passes while winning both of his two aerial duels.
Andy Robertson – 7
Created three chances, made six passes into the final third and was successful with 67 per cent of his six attempted ground duels.
Ryan Gravenberch – 8
The Dutchman made eight passes into the final third, seven recoveries, and two inceptions against Ange Postecoglou’s side as he continued to shine.
Curtis Jones – 7 (off for Mac Allister, 72)
The 24-year-old had the most tackles in the contest with four while completing 94 per cent of the passes that he attempted in an assured performance when replacing Alexis Mac Allister.

Dominik Szoboszlai – 9

The Hungarian’s goal record was questioned by Jamie Carragher in the week and he responded by scoring a goal and creating the most chances in the match with five.
Mohamed Salah – 7 (off for Elliott, 82)
The Egyptian was calm and composed to slot home the penalty to double the Reds lead while creating two chances and having nine touches in the opposition box.
Darwin Nunez – 7 (off for Jota, 72)
The Uruguayan impressed after he was preferred over Luis Diaz, creating three chances, recording three shots and taking six touches in the Spurs penalty area.
Cody Gakpo – 9 (off for Diaz, 82)
Has now scored in seven consecutive matches at Anfield after he notched the opener and also created four chances and was accurate with all three of his long passes for a 100 per cent success rate.
