Salah contract bombshell: Odds tumble amid Liverpool news today

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is likely to stay at Liverpool, according to the latest bookmakers’ odds.

The Egyptian is out of contract in the summer and can sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs to leave Anfield at the end of the season.

Reports have emerged that the 32-year-old had signed a new contract with the Merseyside club but this is yet to be confirmed. [Anfield Edition]

However, Bet365 have reduced the odds of the former Chelsea man staying to 1/4 after the new update.

Mohamed Salah staying at Liverpool?

If the Reds can convince the Egypt star to stay, it would be a major boost in their pursuit of the Premier League and Champions League title bids.

The veteran has shown no signs of slowing down this season despite his advancing age, notching 25 goals and 17 assists in 33 matches in all competitions.

It is unfathomable that he could leave Anfield given the remarkable form that he has displayed, which has seen him emerge as the favourite to win the Ballon d’Or.

Salah seems relaxed about the situation and Gary Lineker has revealed that he joked about the situation when the two crossed paths recently.

The Egyptian has indicated publicly that he would like to remain on Merseyside so surely there is a deal to be reached.

Fenway Sports Group may have to break their strict wage structure but it would surely cost them more to replace his contributions.
