Liverpool new Premier League title prediction made by supercomputer

Liverpool are still expected to storm to the Premier League title this season, according to The Opta Analyst supercomputer.

The Reds extended their lead to six points at the top of the league after a comprehensive 4-1 win against Ipswich Town on Saturday (25 January), Dominik Szoboszlai stealing the show with his “Iniesta”-like performance.

Despite Arsenal narrowly beating Wolves on the same day, Arne Slot’s men are 91.99 per cent likely to win the 20th league title and move level with Manchester United.

Liverpool are predicted to end the season with 87 points, nine points more than second-place Arsenal, who have a 7.75 per cent chance of overthrowing the league leaders.

Liverpool clear favourites to win the Premier League

It is baffling that Manchester City have a 0.17 per cent chance of retaining the Premier League title past the midway point of the season.

Even with less than a one per cent chance, Liverpool supporters know too well not to get ahead of themselves. They have been burnt by Manchester City on far too many occasions under Jurgen Klopp.

However, Arne Slot is on track for a record-breaking debut season at Anfield and could end his first year in charge with multiple trophies under his belt.

Should the Dutchman achieve the seemingly impossible feat, he will have Klopp to thank for the squad he inherited and must do his utmost to retain the core of the squad.

Liverpool
The Opta Analyst supercomputer predicts Liverpool will win the Premier League.

As widely reported, Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold will leave at the end of the campaign as things stand, but the whispers are growing louder as two out of the three deals are widely believed to be complete.

Who has signed and details for such will be a topic of great intrigue, as according to finance expert Kieran Maguire, the “alarming” developments at Manchester City have influenced the negotiations.

Nevertheless, from now until May, the attention must be solely on football. With Liverpool still competing in all four competitions, this season has the potential to be game-changing.
