Liverpool fans buzzing as transfer target ‘spotted at Anfield’
Liverpool fans have reacted positively to the news that transfer target Jorrel Hato was supposedly in attendance at Anfield over the weekend.
Images were posted on social media of the 18-year-old Ajax defender watching on as Liverpool eased to a 4-1 Premier League win over Ipswich Town on Saturday (25 January).
The teenager’s friend also posted an image to social media from Anfield, although De Telegraaf reported on Monday (27 January) he was only at Anfield because compatriot Ryan Gravenberch invited him.
Still, that was not enough to curtail the excitement of supporters, who like the sound of Hato being part of Arne Slot’s squad next season.
Liverpool urged to sign Jorrel Hato from Ajax
One Liverpool fan took to X to suggest a “surprise move” could be on the cards after this development, while another said: “Hearing he’s a good player and can play slot of positions.”
A fellow supporter posted: “I don’t overthink anything till it actually happens but yeah kinda good news.”
Liverpool have yet to add to their squad in the winter window, but a deal for Hato – even if for the summer – would show the Merseyside outfit are future-proofing.
While Hato is not the most well-known name right now, he is clearly a massive talent and someone who would no doubt thrive under compatriot Slot.
