Liverpool fans react to ‘awful’ Bajcetic update – ‘Embarrassing’
Liverpool supporters are furious with the latest update on the future of Stefan Bajcetic.
The Spanish midfielder joined Red Bull Salzburg on loan but did not feature in the 5-1 loss to Real Madrid on Wednesday (22 January) and has not started a match since 7 December.
However, The Athletic reported on 23 January that the Anfield outfit is satisfied and has no intention of cutting his loan deal short this month.
Fans have reacted to the development with concern as the young star needs regular game time to prove himself to Arne Slot.
Liverpool supporters worried about Bajcetic
Reds supporters are not happy with the latest update, given how highly-rated the academy graduate is among the fanbase.
One supporter accused the outlet of trying “to put a positive spin on a waste of a season loan.”
Another criticised the club for letting “one of our best talents rot on the Salzburg bench” with a laughing emoji.

While supporter concern for the 20-year-old is understandable, he needs to build up his fitness ahead of a return to Merseyside in the summer.
Bajcetic enjoyed a great rise to stardom in the 2022-23 season when he featured 11 times in the Premier League under Jurgen Klopp.
However, his rise into the first team was curtailed last season by constant injury issues and that meant he needed to be carefully managed this campaign.
Hopefully, he can have a bigger impact in the second half of the season and force his way into Slot’s plans for next season.
In other Liverpool news, Jarell Quansah may have forced himself back into Slot’s plans after a sensational display against Lille.
