Liverpool told to sell Robertson immediately – ‘Real Idiot’
Liverpool supporters have told Arne Slot to sell Andy Robertson after what he did to Tyler Morton while warming up for their Champions League clash against Lille on Tuesday.
The defender was named on the bench for the clash against the Ligue 1 outfit but in the warm-up, the Scotsman was spotted getting rather heated with Tyler Morton.
In the end, the defender didn’t end up coming into the game and Slot’s men beat Lille 2-1.
Fans have been asking the Reds to invest in a new left-back for some time now but it seems that this was the final straw for some.
Liverpool to sell Andy Robertson?
While it’s evident that Liverpool need to invest in a new left-back at some point, it feels like selling Robertson wouldn’t be the smartest decision for them to make just now.
At the moment, the Merseyside outfit only have two natural left-backs among their ranks in Kostas Tsimikas and Robertson.
If a new one is brought in such as Milos Kerkez then the sale of Robertson should be sanctioned so that Slot has enough depth to cope with the rigours of the second half of the season.
However, for some fans, the aggressiveness of the defender was enough for them to call for his head with one saying “Sell him to Leicester”, while another said that “The cracks are showing”.
Of course, only time will tell what the future holds for Liverpool and the Scotsman but if the reaction from fans is anything to go by, it feels like that decision has already been made for him.
Which, after all the time he’s spent at Anfield feels quite harsh.
