Liverpool fans think Salah is ‘finished at Anfield’ after update – ‘Catastrophe’
Mohamed Salah looks increasingly likely to leave Liverpool in the summer transfer window after a major update by Times journalist Paul Joyce.
On 17 January, Joyce reported via the newspaper’s website that after this season is over, the summer of 2025 is “starting to feel like an important summer of squad tinkering”.
He added that Liverpool are feeling that way even if Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk were to stay with the star trio’s contracts all coming to an end later this year.
It is understood that the Premier League leaders have offered Salah, 32, a new deal but the Egyptian superstar is yet to commit himself to the Anfield giants amid speculation linking him with a move to Saudi Arabia.
Will Mo Salah leave Liverpool?
Sky Sports reported on 16 January that Al-Hilal are looking to sign a high-profile player to replace Neymar and are lining up an offer to sign Salah on a “lucrative” deal.
He’s free to talk to foreign clubs already and could even agree a pre-contract deal now that we’re into the final six months of his Anfield deal.
After seeing Joyce’s report, Liverpool fans now seem resigned to the fact they will lose Salah in the summer as the Merseyside club looks to potentially overhaul Arne Slot’s squad.

Salah has made 31 appearances across all competitions already for Liverpool this season, scoring 22 goals and supplying 17 assists.
Despite the fact he turns 33 in June, the former Roma star is going from strength to strength under Slot’s leadership and it’ll no doubt be a crushing blow for the Reds if he was to leave in the summer.
