Liverpool told to ‘sell Curtis Jones’ now after team-mate comment

Liverpool have been told to sell Curtis Jones by their own supporters after the midfielder appeared to claim he prefers Eden Hazard over Mohamed Salah.

Salah has been an influential component of this Liverpool team since joining and there are few doubts he will go down as one of the all-time Premier League greats.

His future at the club could be in question but his ability certainly isn’t, although a new interview from Jones certainly didn’t go down well with the fanbase.

Curtis Jones makes bold claim, Liverpool fans didn’t like it

Speaking via TNT Sports, Jones claimed that he idolised Chelsea forward Hazard as a kid while making comparisons to Salah, which spurred a reaction on social media.

Many Merseysiders called for Liverpool to “sell Jones” after the comments he made, with others questioning the integrity of his words.

It’s fair to say it didn’t spark a positive reaction, with many of the responses following a similar trend.

Many supporters have questioned Jones’ ability to contribute to a title-chasing squad even before the comments made, which are only going to amplify those voices.

Maintaining good squad morale will be key to their push to becoming champions, and there will be a few concerns that these remarks could see that take a hit.
