Milos Kerkez exit update as Liverpool ready new transfer – Exclusive
Milos Kerkez is unlikely to leave Bournemouth to join Liverpool in the winter transfer window, sources have told Liverpool News.
Alex Smith, of the Bournemouth Echo, exclusively told Liverpool News that the Cherries are very unlikely to allow their star man to leave this month.
i News reported on 15 January that the Reds are in pole position to sign the 21-year-old Hungarian and are ready to gazump Manchester City for their long-term Andy Robertson replacement.
Speaking exclusively to Liverpool News, Smith said: “The arrival of 19-year-old Julio Soler had some fans questioning if that could mean Kerkez leaves.
“I think it’s very unlikely that Bournemouth let him leave in this window and I think that will go for all of their stars from this season – they won’t let them go this month.
“I also think the way the team is playing and the togetherness of the group would perhaps dissuade any players from looking to leave.”
Liverpool ready new left-back transfer
Robertson will go down as one of the best signings in Reds history, playing a crucial part in Premier League and Champions League successes under Jurgen Klopp.
However, his performances this season have left a lot to be desired, with Kostas Tsimikas regularly coming off the bench in games to replace him.

Cherries star Kerkez makes sense as a long-term replacement for the Scot as he is defensively solid despite being an attack-minded full-back.
He already has 50 Premier League appearances, scoring in the impressive 4-1 win against Newcastle at St James’ Park on 18 January.
In other Liverpool news, the Reds are odds-on favourites for the Premier League title with the bookmakers after a new development.
