Liverpool shock: Andy Gray loses mind over ‘ridiculous’ Arne Slot reveal
Arne Slot has been “remarkable” since taking the reins at Liverpool in the summer, according to Richard Keys.
Slot bounced back from two consecutive draws in the Premier League with a 2-0 victory over Brentford away from home on Saturday (18 January), leaving Keys impressed.
The former Sky Sports commentator, who feels Darwin Nunez has been “suffering”, pointed out that the Dutchman has lost only two of his last 58 games as a manager both at Liverpool and Feyenoord.
“Something about Arne Slot, isn’t it?”, Keys said on beIN Sports (18 January, 4:57 pm).
“Adding his last season in Holland to this, I think he’s only lost two of the last 60-odd games he’s taken charge of. Remarkable.”
Andy Gray was blown away by what he heard and replied: “That’s ridiculous.”
Arne Slot on course to win league at Liverpool
Although draws against Manchester United and Nottingham Forest stopped Liverpool from stealing a march on their rivals, the win against Brentford has put them back on track.
The Merseyside-based club are still four points ahead of second-placed Arsenal and also have a game in hand.
With 17 games left to play in the season, Slot is in a strong position to lead the Anfield outfit to Premier League glory in his very first campaign in charge of them.
It is also worth noting that Liverpool remain active in all the three cup competitions they are a part of.
They are trailing 1-0 against Tottenham in the EFL Cup semi-final after the first-team, but have the chance to turn things around in the second leg at Anfield on 6 February.

Meanwhile, they progressed into the fourth round of the FA Cup with a 4-0 victory over Accrington Stanley last Saturday (11 January).
Most importantly, Slot and Co sit atop the UEFA Champions League table, having won each of their six games so far.
