Liverpool fans ‘furious’ amid Man City transfer news – ‘Take note Richard Hughes’

Liverpool fans have fired frustrated messages to sporting director Richard Hughes as Manchester City continue to push forward with new transfers.

Eintracht Frankfurt star Omar Marmoush has been linked with a move to Anfield in recent windows [TBR Football], with the potential of linking up with Egypt teammate Mohamed Salah this month.

However, Pep Guardiola’s side have been given the “here we go” seal of approval by Fabrizio Romano, with a deal in place with the current Premier League champions after a new round of talks.

Man City’s continuous links to new players this month have triggered Liverpool fans over the course of the last few days, with one supporter telling Hughes to “take note” when it comes to transfers.

The Cityzens have also been linked with moves for Lens centre-back Abdukodir Khusanov and young Brazilian Vitor Reis, driving the Reds crazy over why their team is not as active in the market.

After adding Federico Chiesa to the squad in the summer, and Giorgi Mamardashvili set to join next summer, it seems unlikely that the Reds will be making any big signings this month.

Of course, with Arne Slot’s side topping both the Premier League and Champions League tables, some will argue that the current squad does not need changing at all.

However, so much football can mean unavoidable injuries being suffered at Anfield, with the EFL Cup and FA Cup also to worry about this term.

Hughes would certainly be able to take some of the pressure off himself and FSG, but as Liverpool continue to see transfer targets sign elsewhere, it could end up being a very quiet window.

That would, of course, frustrate much of the fanbase even more, but if the sporting director is not going to listen to the loud voices around him, there is little the supporters can do before the window slams shut.
