Liverpool told to sell ‘finished’ Andy Robertson after Nott’m Forest ‘disgrace’
Liverpool have been urged to sell Andy Robertson after his poor performance in the 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday.
The Scottish international was replaced in the 66th minute by Kostas Tsmikas and the Greek international provided an immediate assist for Diogo Jota to equalise at the City Ground on 14 January.
The 30-year-old was a vital cog in Jurgen Klopp’s Reds side that won the Premier League and Champions League but his influence has slowly waned over the past season and a half.
Arne Slot’s side lead the standings domestically and continentally but supporters are concerned that it could all come crumbling down if Robertson continues to start consistently.
Liverpool need a new left-back
Supporters took to social media to call on the Merseyside club to replace the former Hull City man, with one fan claiming that he is “finished” and a “disgrace” and urging him to go to “Celtic or the MLS”.
Another commented that Tsimikas should be first-choice and called on sporting director Richard Hughes to “pull his finger out” to sign a new left-back in the winter transfer market.

Robertson has been a shell of his former self this campaign and Tsimikas is not good enough to be a regular starter for a team that is contending for the major honours.
Owners Fenway Sports Group are frugal when it comes to strengthening the squad but they must put their hands in their pockets on this occasion.
Otherwise, the Merseysiders risk throwing away their commanding lead in the Premier League and Europe’s premier competition.
If Arsenal beat Tottenham on Wednesday (15 January), their advantage will be cut to four points although Slot’s side will still have a game in hand.
