Liverpool fans concerned by Mohamed Salah cryptic message
Mohamed Salah has left Liverpool supporters worried with a cryptic message after the 2-2 draw with Manchester United.
The Egyptian posted a picture on Instagram [6 January] of himself, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk stood on the pitch during the contest.
The image has sparked a concerned reaction from Reds fans as all three players are out of contract in the summer and can negotiate a free transfer with foreign clubs.
Some supporters think it is a message to Fenway Sports Group, the owners of the Merseyside club to get the deals done.
Liverpool fans getting nervous as contracts run down
It is safe to say that many fans are not happy with the ownership for letting the contracts run down to the final six months, one supporter commented in a post on X, saying: “Enough with the silly posts and games Mo! The fans are going through enough waiting for the contracts to be signed while all focus should be on winning the title! Put pen to paper or leave. But one way or another stop playing it out in public, playing with the fan’s emotions.”
Another commented: “The contract situation for the three of them may eventually play its part in affecting results on the pitch if it isn’t sorted soon. Three of our most important players being out of contract in a few months during a title run in is inexplicable negligence on the part of the club.”

The Reds do not need any distractions as they try to win the Premier League in Arne Slot’s first season in charge.
The noise surrounding the future of the three could very well derail their bid for the title with Real Madrid’s interest in Alexander-Arnold seemingly affecting his performance against the Red Devils.
Salah and van Dijk have both suggested that they want to stay at the club but both have told Sky Sports there has been no progress within the last week.
FSG need to sort the situation out rapidly otherwise it could have a big impact on the pitch as supporters and the out-of-contract trio get more frustrated.
