Liverpool sources share Trent Alexander-Arnold injury update – report
Trent Alexander-Arnold is confident he is not facing an extended period on the sidelines after his latest injury scare for Liverpool, according to The Mirror.
The news outlet reported on Sunday [10 November] via its website that sources close to the 25-year-old believe that, despite Arne Slot’s stating he would miss the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches for England, he will not be facing a lengthy injury layoff.
Alexander-Arnold was forcibly removed at Anfield on 25 minutes in the 2-0 win against Aston Villa on Saturday [9 November] with a suspected hamstring issue and is expected to be withdrawn from Lee Carsley’s England squad.
Liverpool will need Trent Alexander-Arnold after the international break
Arne Slot will need his vice-captain more than ever after the international break with two blockbuster ties against Real Madrid and Manchester City ahead.
All the speculation regarding his long-term future at Anfield must be placed on the back burner for now, with his immediate return to fitness the utmost priority.
Trent has been taking pain-killing injections for the past few weeks to nurse a thigh strain sustained over the last international break, but with Conor Bradley now back in the side, the number 66 can earn some much-needed rest in the coming weeks.
However, the Reds now sit five points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table with an opportunity to extend the gap to eight points when Pep Guardiola brings his side to Anfield on 1 December.

Guardiola has lost four consecutive matches for the first time in Manchester as his side reels from the loss of Ballon d’Or winner Rodri, while Arsenal are already nine points adrift of the Reds and no longer in the title conversation.
Therefore, Slot must ensure Trent is ready for the biggest week of the season and available to start against Madrid and Man City. Wins against both could turn Liverpool into serious contenders for both trophies.
In other Liverpool news, a Reds gem has been told he could win the Premier League title for Arne Slot.
