Liverpool injury update emerges ahead of RB Leipzig clash, three players missing
Liverpool have been dealt a blow ahead of the Champions League clash against RB Leipzig on Wednesday night with three first team regulars missing from training.
According to David Lynch [22 October], Diogo Jota, Conor Bradley, and Federico Chiesa were absent from the training session on Tuesday ahead of the midweek match.
Arne Slot has already confirmed Jota will be absent from the matchday squad in Germany after he sustained an injury in the 2-1 win against Chelsea on Sunday [20 October].
Bradley and Chiesa missed the victory at Anfield on the weekend as the Reds prepare to embark on a treacherous run of fixtures with five key players on the sidelines.
Liverpool hit with injuries at the worst possible time
The Reds have been sensational under Slot thus far this season and the Dutchman is flying in the Premier League after overcoming what was considered his first real test at Anfield against Chelsea.
However, with a trip to Arsenal next and ties against Aston Villa, Bayer Leverkusen, Manchester City, and Real Madrid ahead in the coming weeks, the side will be put to the test across all competitions.
Alisson will be missing for most of this run and he recovers from his second injury setback this season, he is not expected to return for Liverpool until the end of November.
Harvey Elliott is also nursing a broken foot and the injury concerns are mounting at Anfield as the squad begins to thin out ahead of what will prove to be a crucial period for Slot.

Liverpool boasts a 100 per cent record in the Champions League after victories against Serie A sides AC Milan and Bologna, the record should continue with a superior difference between themselves and RB Leipzig on paper, but away from home, the result is not guaranteed.
Slot will likely rely on Darwin Nunez to lead the line in what could be his final opportunity to impress the boss but, after the injury crisis that plagued Jurgen Klopp in his final season at Anfield, the supporters will become increasingly anxious with the latest setbacks.
The Reds chose not to considerably strengthen the side throughout the summer and now is the time to prove to the supporters, that the club made the right decision.
