Liverpool transfer claim emerges as Lutsharel Geertruida talks held
Lutsharel Geertruida would have to be very particular about his fitness routines should he move to Liverpool, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that it certainly helps that the Reds have among the best teams in the world in terms of their medical, fitness and sports science.
This comes after HITC reported on 6 July that the Reds have held talks to sign the 24-year-old this summer.
Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Liverpool News 247:
“He will have to be on all his p’s and q’s when it comes to his habits, on and off the pitch – from fitness to nutrition to stress to adapting to a new environment and country.
“The very good news is that Liverpool has one of the best medical, fitness, and sports science staffs in the world, let alone the Premier League.
“It’s difficult to say why so many players from the Netherlands struggle in the Premier League without doing a deeper dive into it but there are so many factors at play and Liverpool would undoubtedly want to avoid that.”
Lutsharel Geertruida could be an interesting option for Liverpool
Geertruida is a versatile defender, able to play at right-back, centre-back, and even in midfield, given the inverted role he played, which adds depth and flexibility to the squad.
His familiarity with Arne Slot’s style of play, having worked with him at Feyenoord, could facilitate a smooth transition into the Liverpool team.

The 24-year-old’s experience in the Champions League and his call-up to the Netherlands national team demonstrate his high level of performance.
