Rio Ngumoha moving to Liverpool is a sign of good things to come this summer

Ngumoha is only 15 years old but is arguably one of the brightest prospects in the Cobham academy.

Indeed, the Chelsea academy player played consistently throughout his youth career for the club but evidently saw a brighter future with Liverpool.

The Reds must also rate the youngster highly as they are reportedly set to break their academy wage structure [Fabrizio Romano, 8 July] to make a deal work.

Although no moves for the senior squad have yet been made, as has often been the case with the Reds, the club prefers to do things behind closed doors.

However, nothing seems to have come to fruition as of yet but there’s no doubt that moves will be made sooner rather than later.

And, looking at the talent within Liverpool’s academy players such as Kieran Morrison are being called up to the Under-19 European Championships, it feels as if the club has a bright future ahead of them.
