Liverpool youngster Jayden Danns will be eager to impress new manager Arne Slot following his comments in the press conference on Friday.

Slot revealed in his first Liverpool press conference there will be opportunities for the youth players next season.

Danns received a first-team call up by Jurgen Klopp last season following injuries to Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota.

The 18-year-old rewarded the faith placed on him with a brace against Southampton in the FA cup in February.

Danns can provide alternative Liverpool solution

Now that the dust has settled on what proved to be an underwhelming Liverpool season, the attention has turned to the transfer window.

Slot, alongside sporting director Richard Hughes will put their stamp on the current Liverpool squad.

With uncertainty surrounding the future of the forward line, fans are screaming out for new recruits.

Cody Gakpo has forced himself back into the conversation with his performances for the Netherlands at Euro 2024.

Whereas Darwin Nunez is excelling across the pond for Uruguay at Copa America as his side just knocked out Brazil and teammate Alisson in the quarter final.

Whilst all the attention is on the senior members of the squad and their international escapades, Liverpool have one of their own waiting in the wings.

The 18-year-old netted 22 goals across the youth setup last season as well as the two against Southampton for the first-team.

Danns showed composure beyond his years lifting the ball over Joe Lumley after a well-timed run for his first senior goal.

The Scouser then blew the roof off Anfield when he pounced on the rebound of Conor Bradley's strike for the brace.

Standing at 6ft tall, he proved to be an aerial menace whenever he took to the field.

He made an extra time cameo in the in the Carabao cup final against Chelsea and nearly won the Reds the game with his header forcing an acrobatic save from Đorđe Petrović.

With the excitement of the transfer window, Liverpool fans are forgetting about the talent and potential of Danns and he could be utilised as an alternative option for Slot when a more direct approach is necessary.

Danns has already proven he can score against Premier League opposition in Southampton and under the guidance of Slot could prove pivotal for the Reds next season and beyond.
