Liverpool to earn up to £10million after Taylor Swift concerts at Anfield
Liverpool could earn up to £10million from Taylor Swift’s three recent concerts at Anfield this month, according to Dan Plumley.
The global pop sensation performed at the iconic ground on June 13, 14 and 15 to a sold-out Anfield as part of her Era’s world tour, with the stadium not being used during the off-season.
Liverpool are likely to bank in the low millions for the events according to football finance expert Plumley after ticket companies and Swift take their cuts, but it could rise to as high as £10million plus the added promotion that the marketing will get the club as one of the venues for the tour.
“You’d imagine it will be a decent little earner,” he exclusively told Liverpool News.
“Obviously there’ll be things like ticket sales, ticket providers taking a cut, and most of the money goes to Taylor Swift and the tour itself. But the Daily Mail has suggested that Liverpool could earn anything between £5-10m for those events.
“They’ve got a deal with the city council to run six non-events per year. If it is in that ballpark then it makes good financial sense to use that venue in the off-season and generate some additional revenue.
“Those figures, take them with a pinch of salt, but it’s likely to be low millions, and if it’s in the £5m to £10m range then that’s a good earner for Liverpool and the wider collateral that comes with it, with everyone mentioning that stadium as part of the tour and what that can bring you just from an awareness point of view for people who perhaps aren’t football fans.”
Liverpool use Anfield to grow global fan base and earn cash
Everyone knows that Liverpool are one of the biggest and most popular clubs in England, but they’re also incredibly popular across the world too.
FSG have been trying to improve the club’s appeal in America ever since taking over, and bringing one of the world’s biggest stars to Anfield is certainly one way of doing that.

It also means that they bring in extra cash from the use of Anfield even when there is no football on, which helps the club’s financial state after spending big money to make the stadium capacity even bigger too.
It’s brilliant business and to earn up to £10million for something that takes very little work from those at the club is sensational stuff, and should be commended by those with any sort of interest.
In other Liverpool news, the club are set to make a decision on Mohamed Salah with a “monster” transfer offer expected.
