Norwich City eye Liverpool youngster Bobby Clark as European clubs circle
Norwich City are reportedly eyeing up a loan move for Liverpool midfielder Bobby Clark, according to Daveockop.
The Canaries will face competition from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig and Austrian side RB Salzburg, now managed by ex-Reds assistant Pep Lijnders.
Clarke made 12 appearances last season, scoring one goal and two assists as he helped ease Liverpool’s injury crisis.
He also featured in Liverpool’s Carabao cup final win over Chelsea at Wembley in February.
Can Liverpool afford to let Clark go?
Last season’s injury crisis in midfield was an all too familiar feeling for Liverpool fans.
Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch had spells on the sidelines alongside long-term absentees Thiago and Stefan Bajcetic.
Similar to the crisis in the 2020/21 season which left Nathaniel Phillips and Rhys Williams as the Reds’ starting centre-back pairing.
The Liverpool squad ran out of steam as they crashed out of the Premier League title race, FA cup and Europa League.

With Wataru Endo speaking out (Empire of the Kop, 25 June) that the Reds should sign another midfielder, it seems the club needs to prioritise squad depth.
But an opportunity for regular first-team football may be more beneficial to both Clark and Liverpool.
Harvey Elliott is a prime example of how a season in the Championship can lead to a pathway into the first-team.
Whilst Tyler Morton and Fabio Carvalho are returning from successful spells at Hull City and will get opportunities to impress Arne Slot in pre-season.
Carvalho’s RB Leipzig stint should act as a deterrent for Clark should he spend a season away from Anfield.
Should the Reds boost their midfield ranks this summer, Clark’s playing time will be more limited.
A chance of regular first team football should be prioritised for Clark’s development.
