Leeds United could be next for Mateusz Musialowski as Liverpool announce exit news
The future of Mateusz Musialowski is no longer a question for both Liverpool fans and Arne Slot.
The Under-21 Poland international joined the Reds in 2021 and even made his debut for the club in the Europa League this season.
However, this evidently wasn’t enough for the youngster to be granted an extension with the Anfield club.
This is because, on Wednesday (5 June) when Liverpool announced their retained list, the youngster was among the players who were released.
This is despite the 20-year-old having a solid season in the Premier League 2 for the Reds’ Under-21s with the attacker getting a total of four goal contributions in just nine games.
What comes next for Mateusz Musialowski?
Despite being just 20 years old the attacker was branded by many as the next big thing at Liverpool.
This is not only because of his 36-goal contributions in just 83 games with the Reds but for how he conducted himself off the pitch too.
Although the 2023/24 campaign wasn’t where he appeared the most, when he played for the Under-21s, he showed glimpses of his previous promise.

There will no doubt be a plethora of teams waiting in line for him with the Daily Mail reporting on the 22 January that Birmingham could be interested in acquiring the youngster.
His sheer pace and impeccable dribbling would no doubt make him a steal for any club that wishes to take a chance on him this summer.
Musialowski could play a key part in Birmingham’s push for promotion back to the Championship.
Although, with the potential for the youngster to reach being quite high, a League One move could be too much of a downgrade for him to consider.
Football Insider has also reported on 22 January that Leeds could throw their hat in the ring for the attacker.
He could become an ideal understudy for Dan James or even be a potential replacement for any outgoings that are on the cards.
In other Liverpool news, the Reds have entered the hunt for a Feyenoord star.
