Liverpool have ‘openly discussed’ possible Luis Diaz sale in Anfield transfer update
Liverpool have “openly discussed” the possibility of star forward Luis Diaz leaving the club, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The report on 2 May outlines that, while a departure is not expected, it has been considered as a possibility and plans have been made should the Colombian move on.
The player’s father has made no secret of his son’s admiration for Barcelona, while there were links to the Saudi Pro League last summer and Paris Saint-Germain have been credited with an interest more recently, as they draw up candidates to replace the departing Kylian Mbappe.

With Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah all entering the final year of their contracts, the 45-year-old will have his hands full from the beginning as he looks to secure the futures of three of the Reds’ most important players.
The potential departure of Diaz would be an additional problem to solve for the Dutch tactician – and most certainly an unwanted one.
The Colombian winger has been an influential figure in attack for the Reds this season, netting 13 goals across all competitions and registering a further five assists.
Having to replace the 27-year-old’s trickery and direct running as well as his goal threat would be no easy task – particularly if Salah also moves on.
Liverpool fans and Slot will both be hoping that Diaz stays put at Anfield this summer.
