Liverpool make offer to appoint Arne Slot as new manager, Feyenoord respond
Liverpool have made an offer of £7.7million to make Feyenoord boss Arne Slot their new manager, according to The Athletic.
It has been reported that the Dutch giants have rejected that bid, as the Reds make the 45-year-old their preferred choice to take over from Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool are said to be in contact with Slot already as they continue talks, with the manager keen to explore the potential of taking over at Anfield.
Arne Slot to become the new Liverpool manager
This one has moved very quickly, and it looks as though Slot is set to be the new man in charge at Anfield.
Names have not been everywhere during the process, with Xabi Alonso and Ruben Amorim the two that have come and gone in this search to replace Klopp.
Klopp announced he was leaving the club months ago, and that has given the likes of Richard Hughes and Michael Edwards plenty of time to find the right man.

The Reds want to respect Feyenoord as much as possible in their chase for Slot, waiting to make contact until after their Dutch Cup win on Sunday 21 April.
With only a month left of the Premier League season and a title race still ongoing, nothing would be announced until the end of May at the earliest, even if it does get agreed.
For now, more work is needed, but Slot looks to be the number one choice of those in charge.
In other Liverpool news, the Reds have announced their plans to introduce season ticket price rises for the new campaign.
