Next Liverpool manager: Ruben Amorim reaches verbal agreement at Anfield
Liverpool have reached an agreement to hire Sporting Liston manager Ruben Amorim, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The Sky Sports journalist has shared that Amorim can sign a contract until 2027 at Anfield to replace Jurgen Klopp at the end of the season.
The deal is not fully done yet and could still collapse, with Bayern Munich and Chelsea also watching closely as the hire enters its final stages.
Liverpool to hire Ruben Amorim
Thankfully for the Reds, Klopp announced that he was leaving months ago with plenty of time to sort out their next hire in a huge summer of change.
Instead of a mad rush over the summer, it looks as though Amorim will be in charge and have a full summer programme of training and transfers to put his own spin on things.
Richard Hughes and Michael Edwards have been hard at work looking for a new manager since their own appointments, failing with a push for Xabi Alonso at Bayer Leverkusen.

Amorim has been on fire with his Sporting Lisbon side in the Primeira Liga, only losing twice and will have a seven-point gap at the top if their game-in-hand is won.
Links will soon emerge for players who could follow him to Anfield, with Viktor Gyokeres on fire since his move from Coventry over the summer window.
With some final details to be ironed out, it may not be long until this is sorted and Klopp’s replacement can finally be announced at Anfield.
In other Liverpool news, the Reds have announced their plans to introduce season ticket price rises for the new campaign.
