Liverpool: Gary Neville shares Premier League title verdict live on Sky Sports

Gary Neville has insisted that good form will be critical for Liverpool as they look to lift the Premier League title ahead of Manchester City and Arsenal.

The Reds secured top spot in the Premier League with a 2-1 win over Brighton on 31 March, with City and Arsenal setting for a goalless draw at The Etihad.

Neville believes the next week will be critical to see who can hit top form, with Sheffield United next up at Anfield on Thursday 4 April.

Speaking live on Sky Sports Premier League, as shared on its X account, Neville addressed the run-in for all three sides in the title race.

“We haven’t seen this weekend, Liverpool were probably below their best, both teams here [Manchester City and Arsenal] below their best in their attacking sense,” he said.

“We’ve not seen yet which team in the sort of next week or so hit form, we knew before the international break who was in form, Arsenal were in the best form out of the three teams, Liverpool were hanging on a bit towards the end.

“City, obviously, good form but Arsenal, the performance levels were really high pre-international break, what happens in this next week or so is critical.

“I think you’re going to need good form going into that run-in.”

Liverpool to win the Premier League?

Roy Keane backed the Reds to lift the title, as he picked out Luis Diaz for his performance and goal at a critical time against Brighton.

Jurgen Klopp is on the final straight of his career in Merseyside, and he will want to go out with a bang with the Premier League and the Europa League.

The German has blocked out talks of his future and is concentrating on getting everything right across the next six weeks, with the win over Brighton starting things perfectly.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will leave Anfield in the summer.

With Manchester City not looking at their best and Arsenal not having that big game experience of winning when things get tough, Liverpool will fancy themselves.

Mohamed Salah coming back to his best is a scary proposition for other clubs too, with the Egyptian everywhere against Brighton, even if it didn’t click at all times.

The title race appears to be getting tighter with each passing year now, and hopefully, it will be the Reds who come out on top this time around.
