Liverpool injury news: Andrew Robertson to undergo scan in Anfield update

Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson is set to undergo a scan on the ankle injury picked up during the international break, according to David Lynch.

The left-back was forced off after a tackle from Trai Hume as Northern Ireland beat Scotland 1-0 at Hampden Park on 26 March, thanks to a Conor Bradley strike.

This is Anfield journalist, Lynch, has shared that an imminent scan will determine if Robertson will be set for another long stint on the sidelines.

Another Liverpool injury blow at Anfield

It has been a nightmare season for Robertson so far in terms of injury.

The defender missed over 20 games for the Reds after a shoulder problem kept him out for three months earlier in the season, with everyone fearing the worst now.

Kostas Tsimikas and Joe Gomez could replace him if needed, with the latter playing most of the 90 minutes for England in their 2-2 draw with Belgium.

Jurgen Klopp will not believe his luck right now as he prepares to enter the final stint of his spell at Liverpool, as he continues to work wonders with very few options.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has also missed a large chunk of the season through injury and was spotted with the England squad at Wembley during the break, as he nears his return.

Hopefully, good news follows the scan, but after seeing Robertson limp off at Hampden Park, the early signs are not looking good for Liverpool.
